Kinematic viscosity is a key parameter for evaluating the performance and quality of oils and related fluid systems. In this webinar, we introduce a new feature that transforms microVISC PRO into a new solution - microVISC PRO Oil- designed for kinematic viscosity measurement.

By combining dynamic viscosity measurements with user-provided density, the system calculates kinematic viscosity at controlled temperatures such as 20 °C and 60 °C. These results can then be used to extrapolate viscosity to higher temperatures, including 100 °C, following established industry standards for oil characterization.

This capability is particularly valuable for lubricants, base oils, and formulated oil products, where understanding viscosity across temperature is critical for quality control, formulation, and performance evaluation. Extrapolated viscosity at 100 °C is widely used to assess high-temperature behavior and support standard oil specifications.
