Viscosity of Model mAb Particle Suspensions for Injectables

Application Note
Application Note

High Concentration Suspension Injectables

Subcutaneous (subQ) administration of biologics is increasingly preferred because it enables patient self-administration and reduces healthcare burden.

However, the small dosing volume (up to ~2 mL) pushes monoclonal antibody (mAb) formulations to concentrations of 100 mg/mL and above, where solutions can become highly viscous and prone to aggregation.

This application note explores the viscosity of model solutions comparable to suspensions of spray-dried mAb particles.
