Excipients

This application note presents viscosity profiles as a function of shear rate and temperature for a Poloxamer 407 (Lutrol® F 127) solution.

Viscosity is highly sensitive to solution microstructure and ideal for characterization of temperature sensitive triblock copolymers.  Variations with temperature can be correlated to structural rearrangement such as micelle formation and packing.  Viscosity monitoring provides critical transition temperatures so that intelligent formulation to suit specific applications is a reality.
