Accurate Determination of Viscosity vs. Concentration with 15 Microliters of mAb

Application Note Download

Accurate characterization of viscosity vs. concentration of monoclonal antibody (mAb) is extremely important since it dictates the therapeutic level and injectability.

At the early stage of development, its relationship is especially important since it can help reduce development cost and time. However, determination of the relationship is challenging due to the availability of the candidate mAbs and larger sample volumes needed for testing with conventional viscometers.

m-VROC II viscometer has been developed to enable viscosity measurement for sample volume as small as 15 μL with high repeatability and accuracy.

In this note, we present a step-by-step guide to showing how to measure accurate and dependable viscosity of mAb with model bovine gamma globulin (BGG or BγG) solutions.
