VROC® initium Application Note
Reviewing the Interactions of Proteins
Do you really know how your proteins interact? This application note explains information that is extracted from intrinsic viscosity measurements and applied to determining the ionic strength on Bovine Serum Albumin ( BSA) solutions.
Through these series of tests, we were able to see how the solution pH or degree of net charge of the proteins cannot be neglected when interpreting behavior.
Relevant Concepts:
- Intrinsic Viscosity
- Protein
- Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA)
- Ionic Strength
- Huggins Coefficient
- Protein-Protein Interactions (PPI)
- Short Range Attraction
