Monitoring Thermal Transitions with Viscosity
Evaluating thermal transitions of polymers and proteins is important for establishing the structure-property relationship for the macromolecules under various relevant conditions. For example, this valuable information can be used to select the most appropriate thermo-responsive polymer formulation for common applications such as bio-inks, drug delivery systems, or food stabilization. In pharmaceutical applications involving inherently attractive proteins or antibodies, characteristics of the thermally induced denaturation process are indicators of stability.
Download this webinar, discussing the use of our VROC® technology to probe the temperature dependent viscosity of polymers and proteins during heating-cooling cycles to identify thermal phase transition and denaturation.
