This application note presents temperature dependent viscosity data for two cannabis oils with varying levels of CBD and THC. Measurements were performed by manually injecting 50 μL of each sample into the VROC® initium with the temperature varied from 40 to 70°C.
Temperature is a huge important factor when it comes to viscosity. At high temperatures, the natural tendency of materials is to become more fluid-like and cause viscosity to go down. At lower temperatures, the natural tendency of materials is to become more viscous causing the viscosity to go up. That's why many temperature dependent studies are conducted on various types of samples in all types of industries.
We encourage our customers to measure various parameters including various temperatures especially if your samples are going to be going through temperature changes via transport, various laboratories, going from manufacturing to final product, manufacturing processes in general, exposure to various temperatures during final product use, and so much more!
