Oil Viscosity

Viscometers Used for Oil Analysis

The viscosity of oils and lubricants are essential to the industry. In the case viscosity is not checked or Insufficient lubrication can lead to mechanical friction, wear, heat, and potential equipment failure when it comes to machinery. Being able to successfully monitor viscosity can allow you to simultaneously detect conditions including fuel dilution, oxidation, water dilution, wear, and thermal breakdown.

VROC® powered viscometers deliver accurate and reliable viscosity results that are required to understand behaviors of oils, batch to batch. By applying a wide range of viscosities and shear rates, you can gain a full length range of insight into your lubricants.

 VROC® technology :

  • Less than 1 minute for a measurement
  • Don't need to clean in between oils
  • Smallest sample volumes - less mess and easy to measure
  • Direct shear rate control
  • First principle or true viscosity

Engine Oils

Engine oils are essential for high performance of automobiles.

The viscosity of engine oils can indicate if the oil has degraded and is in need of replacement.
