How to Measure the Shear Thinning Viscosity of mAb with 100 uL for Accurate Estimation of Injection Force

High concentration formulations or high viscosity samples have become an increasing demand.

For biopharmaceutical applications, high concentration monoclonal antibodies are known to be beneficial. We are also seeing an increase in the demand for oligonucleotides that has higher viscosity.

With our m-VROC II, we have created a method to measure reliable and accurate viscosity when it comes to different concentrations as a function of shear rates.

In this app note, we use m-VROC II to measure high concentrations of monoclonal antibody (mAb) at various shear rates. Conducting shear rate sweep viscosity measurement is crucial to assess the likelihood of shear thinning behavior for mAb formulations.
