Viscosity screening of monoclonal antibody solutions (mAbs) is often performed at a single shear rate. However, the ability to explore viscosity of mAbs over a broad range of rates can be crucial to predicting all aspects of performance including stability and delivery.
In this application note, we measure the viscosity of monoclonal antibody solutions (mAbs) over a broad range of shear rates to determine if and when non-Newtonian behavior is observed. The goal is to assess the likelihood of shear thinning for mAbs and the importance of measuring beyond a single point viscosity.
